Motion to discharge from the Foreign Relations Committee. Second of the July 2025 paired votes to block weapons sales to Israel. Failed 24-73. The second July vote came in slightly lower at 24 Yea vs. 27 on the first, probably because this specific sale was framed as routine defense cooperation rather than offensive weapons. Same day, slightly different math for a few senators. Across all four arms sale votes in 2025 the numbers went 15 in April to 24-27 in July, and how far that goes depends on whether the Iran war makes it harder or easier for senators to keep voting yes on weapons to Israel.
