Israel Arms Sale Disapproval (S.J.Res. 26)

Motion to discharge from the Foreign Relations Committee. Second of two paired votes on the same day to block separate proposed weapons sales to Israel. Voted on the same afternoon as S.J.Res. 33, this one failed 15-83. Senate leadership paired both votes on the same day so each one gets half the news coverage. The 15 senators who voted Yea on both were the same group of progressive Democrats who had been pushing back on unconditional arms transfers since the Gaza war began.
