Motion to discharge from the Foreign Relations Committee. Second Senate attempt in two weeks to require removal of US forces from Iran under the War Powers Act. Two weeks after the first vote, Cory Booker brought the second attempt with Kaine, Schiff, and Murphy. Same result: 47-53. Same crossovers: Rand Paul the only Republican voting Yea, Fetterman the only Democrat voting Nay. The Foreign Relations Committee under Jim Risch refused to hold hearings on any war powers resolution, so Democrats had no choice but to keep forcing discharge votes on the floor.
