Third Iran War Powers Resolution (S.J.Res. 116)

Motion to discharge from the Foreign Relations Committee. Third Senate attempt to require removal of US forces from Iran under the War Powers Act. Third time in three weeks. Chris Murphy brought this one with Booker, Schiff, Kaine, Baldwin, and Duckworth. Same 47-53 result. Same crossovers. Not a single senator changed their vote across three tries. At this point the repetition is the point: Democrats are forcing these votes to build a public record showing that Republicans blocked every attempt at congressional oversight of the war. Whether that record matters depends on whether anyone is paying attention.
